Rated 3 out of 5 by Krystle from Second time’s a charm, right? The cooktop is great, when it works. Our first one died almost 2 years after installation. Getting F&P to attend to inspect/repair/replace was a saga that went on for months. We were left without a properly functioning cooktop while they sorted out the issue, which took an inordinate amount of time, due to F&P repair team calling in sick or failing to attend their appointments. An altogether frustrating and disappointing experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dan H from Going electric! Gas is gone. #electrifyeverything Direct replacement for our 90cm 5 burner gas unit (also F&P) and fits perfectly! We are now a fully electrified house and gas is gone :) Unit works well, super responsive, easy to use and clean. Cant speak to the reliability yet, but hoping it performs better than some of our other F&P items that have had minor issues after warranty period. Be great if F&P would offer a longer warranty period - could give 5 stars then!

It is very easy to use and clean, and the temperature controls work very well for us. When we bought the house it came with a gas cooktop and I could never get the heat low enough for a simmer. This is no longer a problem as you can go from a light simmer to high heat with a very good range in between. Having the large cooking zone to the left hand side keeps it nicely clear of the other cooking zones. We have no negatives or complaints at all.

The fisher and paykell installers were excellent, they kept us in touch with what was happening and were very accommodating with the installation date, they were punctual and professional. I want to thank F and P for their assistance in all this at times difficult process. We have several F and P products and they all perform well.

The smooth, sleek surface is attractive and easy to clean and the touch controls mean there are no knobs for grease etc to accumulate. I haven't used all the functions yet, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow.

The service department recommended a complete replacement and this was done after a new (model) unit was received. We received a new model and it has functioned perfectly since being installed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Johnsy from Easy to clean, good on the eyes The 1-10 power is odd as 1-4 seem the same 5-6 hotter but the same, and 7-8 a hotter again but hard to tell apart. 9 is hot and 10 (P) is very impressive and heats up a lot faster than our gas cooktop. I think a low/medium /hot and power mode would be easier as it does also have 2 keep warm features which seem the same ? It does suck some juice and needed to be hardwired to the fuse box with a 32 amp fuse ! its over 9000W if you fire it up so watch that meter spin. We have solar panels so it covers cooking if the sun is shining so I'm not fussed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Aaron from Fast, easy to use and clean We hesitated in changing from gas to induction but needed cabinetry above the cooktop to be as low as possible which meant electric. So glad we did, this is seriously fast to heat and has that same instant control of gas. Super neat and because the glass never gets real hot nothing seems to stick even if it boils over etc. Hard to rate the quality given its only 3 months old. If there is anything that could be improved it might be the size of the picture for the hot plates. They are fine for us but for anyone with any sort of visual impairment they would be far too small.

I have not been overly happy with the induction cooktop as I find when cooking an omelette that the egg sticks to the bottom of the pan. I have good quality pans (Scanpan) so unsure why this happens. Also with normal egg frying I find that the egg whites do not cook well.

This is my second fisher and paykel induction cooktop, I bought the 4 zone 90cm induction and I love the brand, bought everything in my kitchen fisher and paykel, but stay clear of that product. This product is great, the zones are now wide enough you cook the whole pot or pan, not just a little area. Every zone is larger. Love how easy it is to clean and to control the heat. Can leave things on for simmer for a very long time. Highly recommend it if your looking for induction.

After using our new induction cooktop for a few months now, we couldn’t be happier. It used to get hot it the kitchen whilst using gas and liquid would take a long time to boil but we are impressed with the speed that it takes to heat up and cook our food, as well as the ease to clean up spills and general safety.
