Introducing the SmartHQ™ App

Now you’re in control, wherever and whenever. Add your Wi-Fi enabled Fisher & Paykel appliances to the app, then check in or manage your cooking and laundry appliances, refrigerator or dishwasher at any time.

Status Updates

Get visibility of the status of your connected appliances. Review how long until the wash is finished, ensure your wine cabinet is keeping your vintage at the perfect temperature, or check that you remembered to turn the oven off before you left home.

Control From Everywhere

With remote control, you can be anywhere when you turn the oven on to preheat, start the dishwasher or put the laundry on so it's ready when you arrive home.

Notifications

Activate notifications for your connected appliances so you know when the dryer’s finished with your clean sheets, the oven has come to temperature, or when it’s time to replace the water filter in your refrigerator – then order a replacement directly through the app.

To get started, download the free SmartHQ™ app for your Apple or Android phone, and connect your Fisher & Paykel appliances.

How it Works

Download the app

Then sign into or register your account. If you’re signing up for a new account, you’ll be asked to verify your email, then return to the app to sign in.

Select your appliance

After signing in, you’ll be asked to select the appliance you want to connect, and the type.

Connect with your appliance

Once you’ve chosen your Wi-Fi enabled appliance, you’ll be guided through steps to connect that specific appliance. Once that’s done, use the button at the top right of your app to set up any further appliances you want to connect.

Security

We use industry standard security methodologies to protect your appliance and data, from development through to your home. We regularly test to ensure these industry standards are met, and send updates to our appliance via the Wi-Fi connection to maintain protection.

How can we help?

To save you time, we've complied some of the most frequently asked questions below.

Search for the model on the Fisher & Paykel website. Under the “Specifications” section on the product page, it will be listed as “Wi-Fi connectivity" or “Connected Fisher and Paykel Appliance”. You can also look for a page called “Wi-Fi Connection” or “Wi-Fi Connection and Remote” in your Use and Care Guide that came with the appliance.

The SmartHQ™ app is currently supported in the following EU countries:
Italy, Poland, Spain, Austria, Luxembourg, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Netherlands

Search “SmartHQ” on your device in the Google Play store (for Android phones) or App Store (for iPhones) and then tap “Install”.

There’s a step-by-step process that’s outlined in-app for each appliance type. The starting point is to download the SmartHQ™ app via the Google Play or Apple Store, create a SmartHQ™ account and then tap “Add Appliance”.

If you haven’t logged in before, when opening the app for the first time you’ll be greeted by the login page. You can create a new account by tapping “Sign up here”. If you already have a previous FP Connect account, you can use that by tapping “Sign in”.

Open the SmartHQ™ app, connect your appliance if you haven’t already – using the instructions in the app – then tap on its icon. You’ll be able to see its status, and a range of ways you can control it, from turning on to turning up, switching modes or ordering new parts.

No, you can use your login details from the Connect app with your new SmartHQ™ app. Or feel free to sign up to SmartHQ™ with new login details if you prefer.

The SmartHQ™ app is designed to replace the Fisher & Paykel Connect app, which will be deactivated. It will also give you more control and features over your Wi-Fi enabled appliances, with performance updates to come.

Yes, the Connect app will be discontinued, so once you have the SmartHQ™ app and have set up your connected appliances, feel free to delete Connect.

Yes – register a SmartHQ™ account, then share the login details with those you wish to view and control the connected appliance on that account.
