Meet Boston based chef Michael Scelfo, one of our global brand ambassadors.

Throughout his career, Chef Michael Scelfo has taken time to examine his personal culinary perspective: if given the opportunity to take off the reins and cook for people in a restaurant of his own, what would he make? He found the answer in his own kitchen, surrounded by his wife and three children. Creating a medium in which people can connect is what Chef Scelfo excels at. By incorporating intimate elements in the design and decor and weaving family recipes into his own, Chef Scelfo has created a space in which his vision is communicated through simple, elegant dishes inspired by what he would want to eat at home with his family.

Chef Scelfo’s first restaurant, Alden & Harlow, located in Boston’s Harvard Square, pays homage to its chef’s roots by making each ingredient shine, and ultimately, cooking from his heart. In 2015, Alden & Harlow was a semifinalist for the James Beard Award Best New Restaurant and Chef Scelfo was a semifinalist for Best Chef Northeast in 2016. Chef Scelfo’s second restaurant, Waypoint, reflects his forward-thinking approach to coastally inspired fare - marrying his time spent along the Atlantic and Pacific shores. In 2019, Scelfo opened The Longfellow Bar at Alden & Harlow, a neighborhood bar and restaurant, above his flagship Alden & Harlow. The two-story space is named after famed architect Alexander Wadsworth Longfellow while the updated design is inspired by Scelfo’s ideal retreat to escape and explore his creativity.

Meet Los Angeles based chef Ludo Lefebvre, one of our global brand ambassadors.

Chef Ludo recently celebrated 20 years of cooking in Los Angeles. He is one of the most influential chefs in the U.S., known for his inventive, refined cooking at Trois Mec, which was the first of his award-winning stripmall haunts. In 2015, he opened his "bar a la carte" concept, Petit Trois, a James Beard finalist for Best New Restaurant. The highly anticipated second location of Petit Trois opened in Sherman Oaks in 2018. LudoBird serves fried chicken and now has premium locations at the STAPLES Center and Universal CityWalk.

Ludo was named one of the 50 Greatest Chefs in the World by Relais & Châteaux and was a James Beard finalist for Rising Star Chef. He was nominated for two James Beard Awards in 2017, Best Chef West and for his work on the Emmy-winning show Mind of A Chef. Upon its return to Los Angeles in 2019, the California Michelin Guide included Petit Trois in the Bib Gourmand and awarded Chef Ludo with one star for Trois Mec.

He is the author of two cookbooks: LudoBites and Crave. He starred in Season 5 of the Emmy-winning show Mind of a Chef on PBS. Additionally, Ludo produces and stars in Ludo à la Maison, a home cooking series.

Chef Peter Gordon

Meet chef Peter Gordon, one of our global brand ambassadors.

Peter Gordon was born in Whanganui, New Zealand, and collated his first cookbook aged just four. At 18 he moved to Melbourne where he lived for five years, training and working as a chef in various restaurants. Eventually his spirit of adventure and culinary curiosity led him to travel through Asia for a year from Indonesia to India, before he eventually laid roots in London. This life-changing experience was to become a major influence on his culinary style, and he went on to earn an international reputation as the ‘godfather’ of fusion cuisine. Since 1986 he has owned and operated restaurants in Wellington, London and Auckland and was Air New Zealand’s consultant chef for 24 years. In 2019 he was named the Supreme World Class New Zealander of the year (joining Peter Jackson and others) for the impact he has had on global food and the reputation of New Zealand overseas.

Despite this busy schedule, and perhaps in particular because he is away from home so often, his own kitchen is something of a refuge for him. Having recently moved back to New Zealand from London he’s working with Fisher & Paykel to create a unique social kitchen space at home where he can cook for friends and family.
